1980 Camaro 355 w/ Comp Cam & Thrush Weilded Muffler

My 1980 Camaro is starting to take shape. I bought the car for $500 and drove it home. Originally had a V6 which was very worn out. Now it has a 355 smallblock with Eagle crank and 270H Comp Cam. The shortblock was built by Fisher's Performance in little California, Missouri. Fisher's has 25+ years of knowledge in engine building. I bought every part, from the flat-top hyper pistons to the Eagle crank, from JEGS. My wife bought me a Craftsman 33gal - 2hp air compressor and I painted my car in my garage with Dupli-Color Paint Shop Paint. The engine is running at 9.3:1 compression. I will have more videos in the future including dyno, burn-outs and hopefully 1/4 mile times. The neat thing about this project is the low cost: $2736 so far (all built in my one - car garage) $500 - Car $300 - Paint (Dupli-Color Paint Shop Paint) $100 - 4-bolt main engine from junkyard free - reused the (good) rods $96 - Hyper Claimer Pistons x8 $50 - Misc parts (bearings, etc) $100 - Edelbrock EPS Intake $100 - 600 cfm Edelbrock Carb (Used) $50 - Edelbrock Valve covers $200 - White Gauges $200 - Engine Machine Labor (That's right, just $200 for bore, clean, & build) $100 - B&M Z-Gate shifter kit $20 - Carpet (installed myself and it looks like it) $650 - American Racing Torqlite 17" for 245 - 45 R17 $80 - Thrush 2-Chamber Muffler $100 - Headers $40 - Breather (Edelbrock) $50 - Flexplate (168 tooth)
