AC and DC Power

The Schumacher PP-2200 is designed to serve all of your portable AC and DC power needs. The unit's front control panel holds two three-pronged AC outlets which are powered by its built-in 400-watt inverter and cooling fan. Together these allow for safe, effecient conversion of the DC oriented power of the 22Ah battery into AC power suitable for electrical devices that exhibit a power draw of 400-watts or less. In the event of a power draw in excess of 400-watts, the inverter is designed to automatically shut down. This safety feature prevents damaging the inverter while testing devices and equipment. The unit's front control panel also contains a convenient inverter on/off switch which allows users to keep devices plugged without causing an uneccessary drain on the internal battery. After plugging in, simply flip the switch on when you need AC and flip it off when you are finished. Access to DC power is even easier via the side-oriented DC cigarette lighter style outlet. Providing a full 12-volts/15-amp max, this power is always on, meaning that all you need to do is plug in your device via its DC power adapter (not included) and let the power flow.

Maintaining Your Charge From Anywhere

Maintaining the charge within the Schumacher PP-2200 is a breeze as well. After use, and when near to a standard wall outlet, simply connect the PP-2200 to it via the included AC wall charger. Once a full charge has been attained the unit will automatically go into maintain mode and maintain the battery at full charge without damaging it if you choose to leave the PP-2200 plugged in. You can even charge the internal battery of the PP-2200 while driving using the male-to-male charger cable (p/n: 38-99-001564 – sold separately). To do so insert one end of the accessory cable into the 12-volt DC power outlet and the other end into the vehicle's accessory outlet (lighter socket), ensuring that the DC charging accessory is unplugged when your vehicle's engine is not running to prevent car battery drainage. Either way that you choose to charge the PP-2200 you can monitor the units charging status right from its control panel with the push of a button.

The locomotive is a former Cotton Belt GP9 built in 1959. The locomotive was repainted into Southern Pacific Black Widow Colors. The locomotive, SP 3873, is used to pull the museum's weekend trips from the historic Campo depot to the Mexican Border Tunnel at division. SP 3873 is a high hood, 1st generation diesel. It has a two-stroke 1750 Horsepower EMD 567C non turbo charged prime mover, a shaft driven air compressor, dynamic braking, and Multiple Unit capability. First Jack, the engineer, connects the battery. Then, he throws some switches in the cab to get the necessary systems required to start the locomotive running. Then, he goes outside to open the Cylinder cocks on each of the 16 cylinders. This is necessary to perform the blowdown. Next, he cleans out the 4 carbon traps. The carbon traps collect carbon from the exhaust. Jack also explains why oil sometimes collects in the carbon traps. It is very important to empty the carbon traps before each day's run in order to prevent a fire. How to modify a LEGO pneumatic switch for optimal air flow by Techbricks.nl

www.techbricks.nl made a video about how to open and modify a LEGO pneumatic switch (part no 4694) for a optimal air flow. After removing the back plane of the switch, 3 pieces of plastic (that defined positions of the switch) must be removed. By removing this, the switch can now easily be moved back and forth. Then the nuzzles (inlet and outlet) are drilled up to 2mm diameter. All the detrimental plastic particles and old glue residues are removed (cut away) in order to fit the back plane to the switch body smoothly. Finally the switch must be cleaned with compressed air, the parts are lubricated and the back plane of switch sealed with epoxy glue to the switch body. Lego Pneumatics: 2-Cylinder Engine

This is a two cylinder Lego Pneumatic Engine (LPE) I put together as I had leftover technic beams and pneumatic components after building other projects. The engine provides a good array of power, I would just perfer it run smooth. For now the only item the engine powers is a 9V Technic motor to act as a generator for a lamp. I intend on building the 3-speed manual transmission from nxtprograms.com and using this to power it instead of an nxt motor. I make use of an Iwata Sprint Jet air compressor that is used for airbrushes. I can get up to 125 psi with it but the engine will run at 60 psi max as it uses the air. 600 Balloons in Boss's Office

It took 3 people 4 hours and my trusty Bostich air compressor to fill up 600 balloons. They covered the entire office about 5 ft high. It was done as a prank on my boss, which we try to do something every year when he goes on vacation. This year we had him pretty paranoid when he left for vacation.
