How to modify a LEGO pneumatic switch for optimal air flow by Techbricks.nl

www.techbricks.nl made a video about how to open and modify a LEGO pneumatic switch (part no 4694) for a optimal air flow. After removing the back plane of the switch, 3 pieces of plastic (that defined positions of the switch) must be removed. By removing this, the switch can now easily be moved back and forth. Then the nuzzles (inlet and outlet) are drilled up to 2mm diameter. All the detrimental plastic particles and old glue residues are removed (cut away) in order to fit the back plane to the switch body smoothly. Finally the switch must be cleaned with compressed air, the parts are lubricated and the back plane of switch sealed with epoxy glue to the switch body. Using this switch in a LEGO pneumatic engine (LPE) results in a much faster moving piston. Click here to see more info: www.techbricks.nl
